The Game
Ok. This is all written by me, if you wan't to know that.
So you start the game. Select NEW GAME from the selection.
Now Prof. Oak will make a speech about Pokémon and will ask you for your name.
Choose one or make your own. Now do the same for your Rival's name. That's how you start the game.
Now you should be in your room. Just walk down, exit and go into the grass. Prof Oak will stop you and
(RB)tell you to come with him/(Y)fight a Wild Pikachu and catch it.
Now you go into his lab.
(RB) He'll ask you to choose a Pokemon and Rival will choose the
advantage of you. (Y) He'll ask you to take Eevee, but your rival swipes it and he gives you Pika.
Now you have to battle your rival...
Was that enough? No? Well... here's the moment we've all been waiting for...
Glitches
MissingNo. and 'MHow to catch MissingNo:
- Go to Viridian City
- Talk to the old man.
- Watch his demonstration.
- Fly to Cinnabar.
- Surf up and down on the right coast.
- You may encounter a few Lv 100+ Pokemon.
- Surf until you encounter encounter MissingNo or 'M
Do NOT cath it, it'll spoil your game. (Rumor? Since it never corrupted my data). IT duplicates your 6th item. And it ruins your HoF. XD- This does NOT work in Yellow.
Walkthrough:
Since the walkthrough is very small, I decided to cram it all onto one page!
PALLET TOWN
The moment PROF. OAK finishes his speech, you'll wake up in your house... There's nothing much in your room. Turn on your comp and withdraw the POTION (you'll need it later). Then go downstairs, talk to your Mom, and she will tell you
something about PROF. OAK calling you, after she finishes, go outside...
Head north into the grass. Oak will see you and (R/B) he will ask you to follow him to the lab (Y) He will catch a Pikachu and take you into his lab.
RIVAL will be there. There will be some conversation. After that, (R/B) you can choose from 3 POKéMON:
- BULBASAUR: Grass/Poison type POKéMON
- CHARMANDER: Fire type POKéMON
- SQUIRTLE: Water type POKéMON
Choose anyone you like, and RIVAL will pick ALWAYS the POKéMON to
the right of the POKéMON you chose. (Y) He will ask you to take a POKéBALL (with EEVEE) from his table, but RIVAL swipes it. He will give you the recently caught PIKACHU.
When you try to go out, RIVAL will challenge you. After you beat him, go out and head north to ROUTE 1. (TIP: Remember that POTION you withdrew? Use it during hardships.)
ROUTE 1
You will be challenged here by some Wild POKéMON so beat them so your
POKéMON can gain experience. Talk to the first guy you see and he will
tell you about a POKé MART he runs, and he will give you a POTION...
VIRIDIAN CITY
When you get there, stop by the POKéMON CENTER (always do this, even if I don't
tell you to), then explore and talk to everyone, but don't go to ROUTE 22 yet...
When you finish, go to the POKé MART and talk to the CLERK, he will give
you OAK'S PARCEL.
Go back to PALLET TOWN and into PROF. OAK'S LAB, and give him the
parcel, after the long speech, he will give you and RIVAL the POKéDEX!!
It records the data of POKéMON you've
seen or captured, in total there are 150 (excluding MEW) POKéMON! He also gives you and RIVAL some POKéBALLS. Go to RIVAL's house and talk to his sister,
she will give you a TOWN MAP.
Go back to VIRIDIAN CITY and go to the shop, buy some POTIONS, POKéBALLS, ANTIDOTES,
etc. and go back to ROUTE 1 and catch a RATTATA and a PIDGEY.
You can either train them, keep them, or deposit them in the PC in the POKéMON
CENTER (remember to deposit them in SOMEONE'S PC).
To catch more POKéMON, go left to ROUTE 22 and catch a SPEAROW,
NIDORAN (M & F).
Oh! I almost forgot you'll fight RIVAL, so beat him. if you
bought some extra POTIONS in the POKé MART, then use them if necessary.
Go back and into the POKé MART, buy @ least a couple of ANTIDOTES,
'cause you'll need them in the forest, now head to ROUTE 2.
